V.3.0 works fine with Ajax. Check the Ajax website from the release.

It doesn't work for me, either. I noticed that VsImageHandler is not been called at all.

Of course I put the Handler on web.config exactly as instructed.
The Sample site works fine and call the handller. I tried to use running on IIS and Cassini, with no luck.
I am using Windows Vista Business with IIS 7 just in case it makes any difference.

The other thing I noticed while investigating further with Firebug: When the sample website is rendered, each image came out with the correct content type (image/jpg). But on my website/webapp it cames as "text/html; charset=utf-8" for each image.
The ImageUrl for each file is rendering as: http://localhost/myproject/1.jpg?idimg=1, etc.

So I am wondering and maybe someone can answer me, what is the "magic" about this content-type? When it is passed over? Is it is by "file extension" set on request to the server, it is coming right as .jpg, as I said. But if not, where it is set?
BTW, it just works with jpg?

What I am might be missing here?

PS: I converted the project to c# and I can share it as soon as I managed to make it works.

Thanks.

I think that you do not store the image correctly into the database.

Hi Florin_Florea,

Thank you very much for your reply.
The images I store on database seems to be alright.
I am using the images stored and it's been retrieved correctly.
At the moment I am just rendering the image controls such  "<img ...>" or "<asp:image ...>" passing to it an Url of my aspx page that uses Response.Write to write the content and flush it.
The image content-type and everything is working properly on the current solution I am using.

What I wish is make it bindable and it is not working for the reasons I pointed before.
Please, is there any reason you would imagine for this not been working?

As I said, seems that the handler is not been fired.

Thanks.
Leonardo.

Well, if the sample website works fine, it must be something you are doing wrong in your project.
Can you give me a sample of what you are trying to do?
